Default Problem with cruise control

Having an issue with the cruise control on my 2002 Alero

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
Controls on the steering wheel light up when it doesnt work.
Ive tried turning it on and off via the control on the left of the steering wheel.

I have also tried disconnecting the power and reconnecting it via the cruise control box under the hood.

It acted up a couple of months ago, it then began to work and i had no problems with it. Just a couple of days ago it stopped working again.

Any ideas? Where do i look next?

Thanks

Changed the oil and airfilter today.

While doing so i unplugged the harness to the cruise control module on the passenger side shock tower.

Un plugged it, plugged it back in a wiggled the wires.
Went for a ride and we're up and working again.

So bad connecting in the harness is my guess.

I have had the same problem before. Usually it doesn't want to work when I have a long drive.
