Rough idling
#1
Hi,
I have a 2001 alero, I am having problems with rough idle, shaking, Rpms are at about 600 when at idle, Just did a tune up, changed spark plugs, oil, air cleaner ect. and has not made any difference, someone told me mabye it could be the ignition module or o2 senser. anyone have any ideas before I spend alot of money on this car?

I have the same problem,
After some research I found that it may be a lot of things, but did not have time to get to check them, here they are:
vacuum leak
Cloged or dirty fuel injectors, fuel filter, ore air filter
faulty emmition system sensors
egnition problems
it will take me a while to check them, but it is way to cold to be playing with it right now, I am in a harsh winter time right now.

Given that he or she is in Canada, maybe English is a second language.
You should learn to type in lowercase letters!
Usually a faulty O2 sensor will not cause rough idle, just higher fuel consumption.
