Default Turns over revs high or dies and wont start

i was trying to clean the throttle body today and when i was taking it apart and moving some wires a what i believe is a vacuum line into the upper intake manifold snapped like plastic... which is what it proly is. now the car wont start, i turn it over and it dies or revs really high and then dies. i also think that i might have messed up the throttle cable somehow but im not sure which one it is! help please!!!

Can you get a picture of what you broke. I have broken the vacuum hose that runs to the PCV, it ran like ****. I would get the vacuum hose fixed and then see how it runs before you mess with the throttle cable.

Default Start then Dies

I think I may be fighting the same problem, kind of.

I have a 99 Alero with the V6 and I can turn the engine over and it starts for about 1-2 seconds then dies. I checked the fuel pressure and thats ok. But I don't really know what is going on, yet.

Any Ideas?

Any check engine lights or secruity light on? If you were having a problem with the passlock you would still have fuel pressure. The system shuts down the fuel injectors if its in passlock mode, not the fuel pump. But usually if its passlock the car wont start at all. Have you checked the fuel pressure while you were cranking the car over? If you just turn the key on and go check the pressure, there is a chance the pressure will read right till you crank the car. The fuel pump maybe strong enough to build up the pressure to start the car but after that it may not be able to keep up.

Default passlock problem

As it turns out it is a passlock problem. I did the 10 minute/10 second procedure then it started. Driving later that day the dash flashed on and off and then after it was parked. We got the same thing. starts up then dies.
I tried the same thing to no avail. I disconnected the battery and waited a couple minutes and the car started. I may need to do the iflylow solution.

Thanks,
for the help

Ken
