I know this may sound trivial, but can somebody verify for me that the oil filter is located at the bottom of the oil pan, and you have to unscrew this big round cover to get to it? If this is where the filter is located, what tool do you use to unscrew that cover? Mine is very tight and I can''t budge it. Thanks.

sorry mine is a 4.0 engine and the oil filter is very visible. i dont think i have ever seen one where the oil filter is hidden..check your owners manual for help. is there a drain plug in addition to this big round cover? you might try asking at the parts house , i am sure they will know by looking at a new one. lots of luck.
