my 1999 bravada jerks when the steering wheel is turned hard to the left or right is this supposed to that or is my all wheel drive on the fritz?

I DONT THINK YOU HAVE A PROBLEM AS YOU ARE LOCKING UP THE SYSTEM IN A SHARP TURN.

Well, I'm not so sure that having AWD is the reason...my '00 does the same thing (feels like it's binding) even during slight turns. I have 135K and as far as I know the T-case fluid has never been changed. I am going to do this FIRST, to try to help the problem. If it does not help, then possibly start looking at some CV (constant velocity) joints... same as u-joints on a non-AWD vehicle.

just a thought , could it be a snapping instead of a jerking feeling. a jerking feeling would be a feeling in the steering wheel that the system isjerking from you , a snapping feeling would be that of a releasing feeling the the steering wheelgives loosnessto you. i hope this makes sense. just a thought.your thoughts please...

it could be you your pitman arm and idler arm.I was told by a mechanic that it does that when thoughes 2 things are shot.hope this helps Edited by: wileybrat
