Question 1965 Cutlass F85

First of all, hello to all Oldsmobile fans. Glad I could join you and hope to talk to you often about "stuff"!

I have an all original 1965 Cutlass F85 with the 330 engine. I am in the middle of restoration of the vehicle. I did drive it home, so it's not really in that bad of shape. However, I took a trip with it and it spun some lower end bearings. So now, that helped me speed up the restoration project. I now have a completely torn down 330. I know there are options out there for builds. However, with my searching, I am not finding a lot about extras/performance parts for these internally. So, if there are any of you out there that have had experiences with beefing up a 330 engine, it would be helpful. My plan is this:

The car has 110,000 original miles on it. EVERYTHING in it is numbers matching etc. So in MY mind for what I want, a super big block project is out of the question. I'm going for "original" style. Why not, it's all there already. So with that said, once the machinist looks the block over for me, I'll have a little better idea of what direction to go with pistons and such. So....

I want to keep original, if I don't have to bore it, I won't...plus who cares about 5 inches more off of 30 over boring anyway...not enough to make me wanna if I don't have to. What I WANT to do is stroke it if possible. I cannot find any info about doing such. The reason? Well, I can virtually keep the block as is, and gain 75 plus horsepower anyway, which is way better results than a bore job. Even if I max the block out I still get more stroking it. So, I need to know if anyone out there has done so to one of these, how and where I can obtain the parts, etc...any and all replies welcome. Thanks in advance.

I'd say leave the girl as is. Keep everything completely stock and find another car to play with. Or just get another engine/tranny combo and use that to flaunt her. When you want to go back to stock, throw in the original number matching set and you're good as gold.

Default any progress on beefing up the 330

I have a 1965 Cutlass w/ 330ci and 3 speed auto trans. The engine has 134K orig. miles and I am looking into rebuilding it soon. I was wondering if you made any progress on your build? Have you discovered any stroker options? If so, what's the cost/benefit?
