Default 1970 w-31

I have a chance to pick up a 1970 W-31, light blue with blue interior, 4 speed and it has a medallion on the front that says AACA Senior Award. It obviously is a frame off restored W-31 but I do not have any idea of the value of this car.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to a reasonable purchase price?? I have been searching collector car sites and NADA, etc for numbers but have no luck.

Thanks in advance

Well let me put it to you this way. I saw an unrestored silver with black interior W31 4 speed car on ebay 3 years ago from Texas with 36,000 miles on it that was just awesome that didn't sell at $99,000.

It's all in the details and documentation. The move of it there is, the more value the car will have. Now the economy has come down since that listing so I wouldn't expect you to pay that much, but don't expect anything less that $45,000 - $50,000 to start. And it could be even higher than that.

If it has an actual W27 rear end (aluminum center and cover, not just the cover) you can add $5,000 - $10,000 to the price of the car.
