hey i just picked up a 1979 cutlass supreme 260 v8 perfect body but slow engine lol atm im looking at a 69 350 rocket for a swap i was wondering does anyone no the stock transmission in a 1979 cutlass automatic? i cant find any info on it

 

It won't last all that long behind the 350 in all likely hood. It will most likely be a TH200 and they just are not that strong. Get your hands on a TH350 and do the swap at the same time.

And be prepared to be toasting the rear end. I had an 80 that I picked up in 1990 and I tossed the rear out of that thing 3 times with a bone stock 1975 350. Just sayin.
