1980 cutlass spindle/caliper problem?

1980 cutlass spindle/caliper problem?
do i have to change the spindle for the stock caliper and brakes to fit, or can i just change the calipers to make the stock brakes to fit? I had removed the spindles from a regal to put into my 1980 cutlass because i had crashed my car then had to replace the whole driver side arms from a 78 cutlass. The brakes wouldnt fit on the passenger side because they were too big, so i got spindles from a junk yard and put into my car for both sides. I forgot the year of the regal and now i want them to be stock as of my car year. The spindles i have now fit perfect, but for the brakes, i had to get a different year for them to fit. Since the spindle fits with no problem, should i just change the calipers so the brakes will be back to the stock year of 1980?
