Hey Guys,

I have a 84 cutlass brougham, she has been good to me up untill recently. I have a pretty bad gasket leak by the water outlet, and I sware I have repaired this sucker like 3 or 4 different times using 3 different methods each time trying to improve. At this point im at my wits end and think since i had wanted to get a bigger engine that I may move in that direction while I have this down time.

Want to make it as seamless as possible.

1) I was wondering first about the motor mounts, from a 231 to a 350 are the mounts different and how hard would it be to have them modified to fit?

2) for a 350 what would be the best tranny to fit, a common trans would be cool, well tell me what you guys think or maybe you can point me to another thread.
