Was experiencing voltage fluautions that sometimes caused the car to perform poorly and cause indicator lights on the dash to come on. Kept getting good alt and battery checks at the local part stores and notice that the voltage would sometimes rise if I turn on my lights or other power consuming accessories. My local garages were estimating +$300 (avg. $90 for the alt) to replace the alt because of the installation difficulty. Found a forum posting that suggested you check the auxillary post (positive) which I just did. And, to my surprise the second (smaller wire) connect wasn't good, and after cleaning, my charging system works fine! Hope this helps someone else!
