350 olds engine
I have a 350 Olds engine with the following information: Casting Number above timing chain is 557752-3B.
The casting Number near the Distributor is 117 CFD.
The Number stamped on the pad below the drivers side cylinder head is 37D213951.
I believe this engine was built at the Doraville, GA assembly plant on 27 April 1977.
The engine is complete from oil pan to intake manifold. The engine has some brackets, the flex plate for a THM350 transmission, and the crankshaft damper.
The engine is missing the distributor, carburetor, exhaust manifolds, and the water pump.
The engine was pulled out of a vehicle due to the vehicle failing Virginia Emission standards due to the engine burning enough oil to cause it to fail.
The engine has been sitting for several years in my shed. I would like to know if this engine is worth anything before I take it to scrap metal.
Thank you for any insight you can provide.
