96 cutlass supreme

I have a 96 cutlass supreme 3.4 dual exhaust & Ive had it for a yr now its a used car
The transmission wont shift over 20 mph now...it doesnt hesitate or anything just wont shift
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME
