Default Automatic Crankshaft

So I am currently building a 1971 cutlass with a 68 motor built 355 ci. I need to put a 4-speed Muncie in and obviously cant directly hook up the manual to the automatic crankshaft. So I've bought a roller bushing from Mondello #PB-460 and it is to big to drive into the crank recess. So I have to drill the crank out to fit the bushing, problem being that the motor is already built and I don't want to pull it apart for machining. Any Ideas on how to machine this while the crank is in, the part is supposed to account for .015" of play?

Are you sure you got the right bushing?

Red face Part # PB-455 and PB-460 @Mondello.com

Well they used to make a bushing that i belive was made for 50's Chevys, but that part is not made anymore. So I went with the next best thing and it doesnt seem to fit.

I'm not sure if there is a way to machine the crank with it in the motor. Would would have to have a stand to hold the motor level and have the drill level also. Maybe call up Mondello and ask them what they think, I'm sure they would know more than me.

I heard of a place where I live that can make me a custom bushing. All I do is send in the measurements and they machine it. Thanks for the help.
