Olds Cutlass 1981

I drove around for like 40 minutes and when I stopped at a red light the car began to rumble. After a few metres it started shaking and stopped dead.

When trying to start the car now, it goes fine then after a minute it slowly dies - and the dashboard lights up "Choke" and "Batttery"

what can be cause of this ?

started the car now, and while the auto choke is working well and fine , the engine stops after 5-10 secs....and then the battery lamp lights up

Try adding gas into the carb and see if you can keep it running, if it does you may need a fuel filter or fuel pump, or both.

I was parking the car yesterday and while steering like crazy the car died out on me again - is this due to too much power consumption or what? It can't handle me pushing the pedal and at the same time use the steeringwheel ?
