Sup Guys. New to the forums. Got this error code.

Has anybody fixed this before. Is it easy to clean it, and is there a way to know for certain if it needs entirely replaced?

P0401 thats usually a egr valve code (im new 2) m fairly easy i say u clean it first before buying new one i just recently did it to a rodeo should be same concept take it off let it soak in carb cleaner for a while clean it with metal brush now the tricky part i was told to turn the car on shoot carb cleanner in to the vacuum port while idleing it but make sure you have the bigger/exhaust hole plugged i suggest u get a second opinion on that part but thats wat i did
