Default Heelp!! 69-72 Cutlass I need Info..

I want to buy a 70-72 cutlass but here is my problem..The lack of aftermarket parts for this car is puzzling! Im lookin at magazines like SUmmit and parts for a cutlass are like non existing! wtf? I see everything for Chevys but nothing for olds. After market engine upgrades? interior? engine mods? panels? It seems like im better off buying a darn Chevelle...but I want a Cutlass looks better to me :-) SO wht resources do you guys use for your 70-72 cutlass?

I dont want to buy the car then go threw hell trying to rebuild my engine and I cant buy a camshaft to save my life..or limited between 2 diff intake manifolds...What do you guys think? Thank You

Yeah, I've had the same problems for my 82 Cutlass, as far as I can tell Olds parts aren't the easiest car parts to find, and you would have better luck with a more popular brand like Chevy. But you can still find parts it just takes some more looking, and buying off of smaller sites.

Just because it's not in the catalog doesn't mean it's not available. There are many outlets for parts, Summit included.

Hmm ok. DO you guys think its kinda going against the grain to put a chevy 350 in a cutlass? To me something kinda takes away from the olds feeling, being its a chevy engine in a olds cutlass.. Some guys say who cares cuz they are both GM's. What do you guys think?

Try Dick Miller Racing and build a real nice street engine. Summit does sell many Olds parts. The catalog is not going to have much you have to look on line.

www.modellotwister.com
www.yearone.com

aside from body and engine, everything else (suspension/brakes/chassis) are the same for all GM A-bodies for that year.
