I have a 1994 Olds cutlass cruiser and the other night when I went to start my car as soon as I turned the key everything in my car went black headlights, dash, gauge panel, ect. Now I'm thinking my ignition switch went bad am I wrong or had anyone else deat with this or have another idea I can look into

 

It could be as simple as a loose connection at an end of one of the battery cables. Start with the simple and try to rule out the obvious; loose cable, blown fuse, etc.
