Does only the 442''s have the pointed hood/grill like that? i have yet to find a body that not a 442 with it. any info on change in body on the cars or pics of them from 1968-1970 would also be a great help . lemme know what you think.<BR itxtvisited="1"><BR itxtvisited="1">THANK YOU</DIV><! / message ><! sig >

I might be wrong, but:


I think the rear end (bumper) will fit on anymodel from 68 to 72 but the front end only fits either 68-69 and 70-72.


I have a 71 Cutlass S and the parts from a 70 fit to 72 so I can use those bits.


You will find that some of those 442''s are clones as they seem more collectable.


The biggest Olds sellers were always the S models though!

Yea the 442 are looking expensive but as long as i can get the look i dont care i can always make it into a clone. But what a good place to look for a older cutlass? What ya think a decent one will run me?Edited by: redbullz

I was lucky, got mine off a friend.


Trouble is prices are different here in the UK.


He got his for around £8,000 (around $12K) 3 years ago. I paid him £5K last year cos prices had dropped.


These older muscle cars are still priced high but I have seen a few stateside on ebay going for around $5-6k) and seem to be in good condition.


I still think ebay is the best option.

can u really trust ebay doesnt seem to be the safest of site

If you can get to see the cars then it is ok.


Gives you an idea on price when looking at other media (such as Hemmings).
