Repairing Door handle on 93 CS
#1
Hi guys, I hate that my first post is asking for help, but isn't that the way it goes with these things?
What I have is a door (actually both front doors) failing to open from the exterior side. They must be opened using the interior handles. Real pain in the buttocks. Strange that both handles would go out at the same time...
Anyway, I"ve got the panel off one door and have noticed that you can hardly get to the door mechanism without removing the electric window components, but was still able to get a look at what's going on.....I can see the rod that runs from the handle to the door latch and it doesn't seem to be detached. When I pull the handle, the rod is moving. So I'm not exactly sure what the problem is.
It also appears that this fix will be more by feel than sight considering
the view is 90% obstructed by the inner metal wall.
If you need further clarification, please let me know.
Thanks!
