does anyone know whats wrong with my 1989 cutlass supreme 2.8 litre? for some reason it lacks power, and its running very rough, almost like its miss fireing or the timeing is off some how. i changed the sparkplugs and it did nothing, air filters fine. gas is fine. i dont know what to do. AHhhhhHh





any help is good, thanks

When did this start? Was anything done to it just prior to that?

nothin was done be4 hand. but it was acting up every now and then. i remmeber i ran the gas tank almost dry be4 it happened. i went away on the weekend i came back and it worked like sh*t, and only got worse after that.

When was the last tune up? If it's been a while, I'd start with plugs, wires, dist cap, and rotor.


Either way, I'd definately get anewfuel filter. Running a tank dry (or almost) can cause debris to be sucked up. Better in the filter than your engine, though! Try that and let me know how it works out.

i found out that i need 2 ignition coils lol


i was only running on 3 cylinders.
