I have a 1992 convertable cutlas, the trim around the windshield is damaged. The dealer is telling me that it's a discontinued part I wonder if anyone makes these parts aftermarket.

It is discontinued but I saw a repair made using the seal off a different car. I am scheduled to get mine replaced by the same mechanic. I plan on getting the details and posting them in the next couple of weeks (this guy is booked!).

Had my seals replaced....
The mechanic modified seals out of a 1999 chevy camaro...they look great
The repair was straight forward.
Remove the dooe handle cover.
Remove the moulding screw
Remove three screws behind the headliner
Remove the plastic moulding (be careful not to break it)
Drill out the seal rivets
Remove the seal
Modify the salvage yard seals to match the existing ones.
The camaro seals have stuff on them that must be removed. you also need to cut of the lip that would slide over the metal strip that the rivets were attached to. This lip would keep the plastic moulding from fitting.
Attach the modified seal with small self tapping metal screws (you may want to pre-drill the seal it has a metal strip in it)
Wish you luck...
