I have what I believe is a 1970 Olds 350 Rocket engine, 4 bbl, out of a 71 Cutlass S. (Was told the original motor had been replaced by a new 70 Rocket from the factory shortly after the car was originally purchased.) Anyway...I have the motor in a 1937 Plymouth, and am using a transmission from a 74?Delta 88. Was told this is a Turbo 400. The trans seems high geared to me.The engine has to work hard revving to high RPMs before shifting into second and third. Was wondering what would be a better low geared transmission for this motor?
The rear end I''m using is from a 73 Omega. Do I need to switch rear ends?

Thanks,

Grant
