Hello,

My power steering pump on my 1958 Olds 371 is leaking onto the top of lower mounting bracket behind the pulley. I felt all around the reservoir and could not feel any fluid so I can only assume it is coming out of the pump shaft.

I see timken and national make a replacement shaft seal for it. Fusick is suggesting a pump rebuild but the Pump seems to run fine just leaks.

Has anyone ever replaced the shaft seal on this pump. If so how difficult? Thanks
