Hi all, im new here and this is my first post.I have a delta 88 1987 which was running great but know wont start..this afternoon it would turn over then stop briefly then turn over then stop and wouldnt start.I checked the oil cause it almost seemed it had no oil and was hard to turn over. It was low on oil a bit so i added oil and it started up. Later on i went to start it and it just turned over, after a few tries i noticed that the engine is turning over alot faster then usuall.All i get is a mini backfire out of it.Now one thing i know is that thew catylltic converter was rattling something awful and i havent changed it so is it possible that it is plugged nowsnf not allowing the car to start?I have a code reader here at home and i put it on and all it reads is 1-12, which by the gm book means pass.The catylitic converter hsd been alot quiter for a few days so whatever was banging around inside it has broke off so im wondering if it is plugged. Thanks for any help with this.
