Hey everyone, new to this forum and new to Oldsmobile. I want to get my stereo updated and so far I've been to two shops that say they can't find the proper dashkits and wiring harness for it. I've done some research and I found some on eBay and crutchfield. Can anyone offer advice? I don't want to pay extra for a custom dash kit that this shop is suggesting I buy. I just want to replace my stereo! Help please. Greatly appreciated.

 

OK so I know this is am old post, but I ran into the same problem. That is, until I actually pulled the old stereo out. As it turns out, the '89 Olds 88 uses the same wiring harness as the 93-98 full size Chevy pickups and Suburbans. You can get one of those at pretty much any Walmart or O'Reillys.
