I have a 1955 Olds Super 88 2 door hard top. I needed new rubber all around and found out that the original rims the car is sitting on are starting to fail. Tire shop told me two of the lugs are starting to pull through the rims. I need to replace these original rims which seemed easy. The tire shop was able to measure the bot patter, and tire. It is a 15" rim. I have a set of hub caps so I just need a simple set of rims. The shop said thyat the offset would be an issue. I found this online.
The 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 two-door hardtop would have had an offset of 0. This is because the stock wheels for these vehicles had a zero offset, meaning the mounting surface was in line with the centerline of the wheel. If anyone knows about this model of Oldsmobile I am looking for some feedback on what modern rims would work as replacements. The car is just my daily driver in the summers, not a show care or the likes. I am in Ontario Canada.I hope someone might have some info on finding new rims for this old girl. I have attached a picture.
