Default Transmission surging

Hey guys. I've got a 97 88 non-supercharged. Under part throttle on the highway and around town, the car will surge. Sometimes rough, others not. Almost like it's hunting for gears. Any thoughts on what may be causing this? I've been told the TCC solenoid and the PC solenoid are to blame.

Before replacing them, I would clean the throttle body and IAC valve. Usually a dirty throttle body and IAC cause rough idle, but they can affect running at part throttle also. You might also check for vacuum leaks, and clean the MAF. Another cause could be a bad throttle position sensor.

*nods* I'll clean them and report back and see. I'm planning on swapping the HD transmission from a supercharged car in, but I wanna get a little more life outta this one.
