307 info
#1
hi, new to the forum. I just got a 1985 Buick with a 307 olds in it. It runs good, and only has i think 5o some thousand kilometers. Anyway, i was wondering if any of you know if this is a very reliable motor. I was also wondering if, and where one could get performance parts for it. For now, i just fooled around with the carburetor, and it already runs allot better.

I've looked quite a bit *for my deltas*theres not much out there for these motors they are VERY RELIABLEand can get decent mpg. These engines donot haev much in performance parts.... here's a start Intake, exhuast, gears, electric water pump, convert electric fan but not much in the heads department pistons ext that I can find in jegs or ebay or summit,
That link doesn't work by the way.
Here's a great site I found!

I had an 1987 olds cutlass supreme with 307 olds engine. I changed the oil every 5,000 km and ran it hard down the highway every day at 340,000 km later I gave the car to my sister in law.I purchased another 1988 olds cutlass last week for my 20 year old sonwith 154,000 km on it from a 85 year old lady. Have to clean up the carb and change to converter. My son paid 2,200 for this car on the road certified. He wants to fix it up some more and keep it, Yes 307 ci GREAT ON GAS, DEPENDABLE, RELIABLE, and you will be happy with it
