If you wanna have an IPOD or any other mp3 type device play through your factory stereo then this is how you do it. If your cassette or cd player is shot then you have to unplug the harness from the back of it. You''ll find two connectors. The one you need to splice into is the black one. On the stereo side of the harness are the following wires and their respective functions. Apply 12v+ to the input trigger by using a simple toggle or paddle switch to have the head unit switch to the auxiliary input and tap into the three RCA inputs with a stereo mini plug. You''ll fool the head unit into thinking the cassette or cd player is playing and the sound will be much stronger and cleaner than using a cigartette lighter RF adapter. Plus you won''t have to give up one of your radio presets. If you have the skills you can use the power connections to feed the mp3 player''s 12 volt adapter so you won''t have to rely on batteries.

Hope this helps.

Mike
