they did start issuing a 5yr/60k warranty on new cars...i believe that started in 2001. what you have to look into is your purchase. Olds also offered a $750 rebate in lieu of the warranty. They may have just given you the extra $750 and not told you about the warranty. I chose to take the $750 and I bought a 7yr/100k warranty for the same price (however I bought it at cost). If you still have your paperwork, take a look at it and see how much of a rebate they gave you. If its something goofy that ends in a 50, then chances are they just took you...otherwise, you should have a 5/60.
