Does anyone know if Oldsmobile offered extended warranties on the 2002 models, especially on the Aurora. The dealer tells me that it's out of warranty, but my buddy says that Olds was offering extended warranties in order to sell its remaining inventory. Edited by: jaxzeek

they did start issuing a 5yr/60k warranty on new cars...i believe that started in 2001. what you have to look into is your purchase. Olds also offered a $750 rebate in lieu of the warranty. They may have just given you the extra $750 and not told you about the warranty. I chose to take the $750 and I bought a 7yr/100k warranty for the same price (however I bought it at cost). If you still have your paperwork, take a look at it and see how much of a rebate they gave you. If its something goofy that ends in a 50, then chances are they just took you...otherwise, you should have a 5/60.
