I have a 93 olds cutlass cruiser s.When i back out of the driveway or hit a bumb, i feel and hear a loud thump comming from the drivers side under the front wheel well. what could this be and how can i fix it without spendidn a lot of money?

3 things. old shocks old springs you are driving too fast over bumps. sounds like it is just bottoming out.

Yea I had a feeling it might be the shocks, considering they are 16 years old. Ya i slow down for bumps, its usually the smaller ones that i slow down for that make it thump. Its also when i make to sharp of a turn. Thank you for the help,I will lookinto replacingthem this summer. Do you think they will be easy to replace?

its not a hard thing to do , just take your time and follow directions. good luck...
