i have a 2003 olds alero that is using 2 quarts of oil every 3000 miles


and 2 cups of water also no sign of blue or white smoke.Anyone know where it is going????

 

AS FAR AS THE COOLANT LOSS I WOULD RECOMMEND A PRESSURE TEST, AS FAR AS THE OIL LOSS I WOULD LOOK FOR LEAKS. IF YOU DONT SEE ANY LEAKS IT MAY BE TIME TO ABANDON SHIP.

I'm thinking a compression test is in order. That's an awful lot of oil...but, depending on how you are losing it, you may not see smoke. Pressure test sounds good, too. I don't think it's a head gasket, just a tired motor. JMHO.
