Default 1964 Olds Cutlass holiday coupe resto

Hey Guys
im restoring my Mom's 1964 Olds Cutlass 330 4v I've been taking off engine compartment partsparts cleaning/sandblasting/prime etching/& painting U know the drill. I need some advise on the front radiator bracing that connects the Lt ft fender to the right I've been warned not to remove unless I'm doing a FULL RESTO ---- so has anyone of U painted a A-Body GM car with structural still attached masking off - sanding - wire wheel then priming & painting? How did it come out? Were U satisfied? This included the Lt & RT inner ft fender Wells??
Please give me some guidance & advise!
