here is a head scratcher, friend of mine owns this olds, he can start the van up, drive it to where ever, shut it off, sometimes it will start back up, other times it wont start at all. He came by today with a new fuel pump, thinking that was the problem. I told him I dont think so, but with just cranking over and no start, I checked for spark, we have that, I listen in the gas tank to hear the pump running, we have that. I can hear the fuel spraying into the injectors, but it will not start. sometimes he can let it set for an hour or so, and it will start right up. Then other times it wont, we did spray starting fluid into the throttle body, and she fired right up, and while the engine is being sprayed with fluid to keep running, the the engine will level out and run on its own. There is no error codes being posted. Any one have any ideas??
