Does anybody know what size engines will bolt to an Electra Glide Tranny? I have a 1963 Olds 98 with a 396ci Rocket engine but the oil rings are seized up so I am looking to go with the cheapest route to get the old whale back on the road and hopefully into a couple local shows. The body is in very good shape but the paint is faded. The interior is in perfect condition (including the silk laced seats) and it only has 34K original miles.

WITH THE LOW MILES ON THE CAR IT WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS TO ASK A MECHANIC TO REPLACE THE RINGS AND KEEP THE ENGINE BECAUSE OF THE MATCHING NUMBERS, A NEW SET OF RINGS COULD NOT COST NEAR AS MUCH AS CHANGING THE ENGINE..GOOD LUCK..

I'm with ILIKE on this one.

www.rockauto.com has a good rep. Order over the phone rather than the web to make surethey have the parts in stock.
