I have a 66 Olds and I would like to find out the engine size. Does anyone know where the engine numbers are located that indicate this? Also, when I find the numbers, where do look up this info?

Thanks.

Casting numbers on the head should be under the valve covers,by the springs or, outside the valve cover, on top of the exhaust runners. I think the blocks casting number is just to the left of thedipstick tube when facing the engine. As far as a good place to look up the numbers and see what it is, I would try entering the complete number and the word oldsmobile into a search engine. You're sure to get more info than you can stand!

Take er easy,
