95 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera - Temp Gauge
#1
My temp gauge rarely gets over the first quarter mark. Once in a blue moon while idling for a while on a hot date I have seen it get up to the half-way mark.
I have flushed the radiator and cooling system and also replaced the thermostat.
Is this normal guage readings for normal operating temperatures? The only thing else I can think of is the temp sensor but I wanted to make sure that it was the same as everyone else first.
Any and all help greatly appreciated!

i had the same problem with a dodge truck that had atleast 15 temp marks on it and would only reach the second mark, even though its not an oldmobile it can happen to any vehicle, when the car is getting very very hot IT WILL REACH theoverheating mark, so you dont have to wory about it much. And it could be a temp sensor either one. Edited by: 85cutlassupreme
