I have a 1993 V-6, 4.3 Fuel injected Bravada that I can't get started unless I put gas or starter fluid into the intake. It has new plugs, wires, distributor, ECM and fuel filter. Once it starts, it runs great and will start right up again unless it sits for over 1/2 hour. I have had the fuel pump and the injectors checked and they are fine. I could put in a new ignition coil but I am unable to find a a bracket that has bolts that holds the coil in the bracket. The bracket in it now, has metal rivets and the only option I have is to drill them out which I am unable to do. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated !!!!!!! Cuz, I love my Oldsmobile!!!!!!

if it wont start unless you spray in starting fluid, it has to be a primary injection issue...and you say that it is fine once you get it started and running? i would guess that it has something to do with the engine control unit that controls fuel flow and ignition.

Thanks for your answer. I had a dealer look at it and they are the ones who replaced the electronic control module. Is the engine control unit different than this part? On the repair form it states that they found no injection pulse and that is why they put the ECM in as it regulates it.

I had the same problem with my 93 bravada and it turned out that the fuel pump wasn't putting out enough fuel. I replaced the fuel pump and it ran and started fine for the next few months
