Oldsmobile Alero 2.4 Manual Transmission Theft Lock cable
Fellow Oldsmobile owners.I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero 2.4 with a getrag F23 manual transmission.
Recently i replaced the plastic bushings in the shifter assembly due to slight wear and stickiness.
I didn't know that there's a cable operated theft lock, that should not allow to shift into certain gears.
However the cable end was out of its slot and the shaft that it connects to under the console was also not slotted.
I tried to put it back together, but it's still not working.
Does anyone know how it should work?
This is the only image a found.Note item no. 2 and 3 is the theftlock cable, but there is no mention of the rest of the mechanism.
Thank y'all in advance!
