Default Saganaw P/S pump ?

I would like to know if the Saganaw style P/S pump on a Oldsmobile 455 will work properly if it rotates "counter clock wise"?

Thank you for your help.

To the best of my knowlege you can't rotate pumps backwards. The pressure would be on the wrong side for one.
Why do you need it to turn to opposite direction?

Thanks for you answer............I need to know for "sure" before I go any further on this project.

Converted to serpentine to use single 6 groove belt and dual alternators.

One alternator is where A/C used to be.

Belt wrap path would rotate P/S pump counter clock wise.

If ccw rotation will not work with P/S pump, I will have to do this another way.

Any others have comments or knowlege on this?

If that's the case then you may need a different routing or possibly add an idler pulley.
