I have a '70 F85 with standard drum brakes and I am trying to replace the master cylinder. But I am having trouble removing the stamped steel retainer for the push rod. I looked in my shop manual which shows this piece but does not address how to remove it. Does anyone know how to remove (and replace) this thing without destroying it?
