Default Trying to authenticate my 1983 Olds Hurst

Why is the first coat of paint on my Olds Hurst a dark blue when the VIN number says that it is an Oldsmobile Hurst made in Lansing, MI? Did the conversion facility in Brighton paint over the original blue? The undercarriage was revealed to be a blue once the undercoating began to flake off. All the spotter tips confirmed that it was an Oldsmobile except the Fisher body tag has a capital N instead of capital M for where it was produced. All the other Fisher body tag numbers show that it is a Hurst.
