WHAT DOES YOU MECHANIC SAY ABOUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT? WHAT REPAIR DOES HE HAVE TO DO TO GET THE LIGHT TO GO AWAY? APPROXIMATELY HOW MANY MILES SINCE LAST TRANSMISSION SERVICE AND DID THE SLIPPAGE STOP AFTER THE LAST SERVICE?

IF SOMEONE COULD TELL YOU WHERE THE LOCKUP SWITCH IS LOCATED YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO REPAIR IT YOURSELF, YOUR LOCAL PARTS HOUSE MIGHT BE ABLE TO TELL YOU.
