I have a 1985 442 #'s matching car with a very clean interior,just needs a paint job which it is getting right now.(silver gray metallic) And have the stripe kit from pheonix graphix.com. Should be a beauty when done! Is there any oyher "G" body 442"s out there? Any tips to share?

Congratulations! I've had mine since 1993. Its a rare white car, no t-tops, 175,425 on the clock and still going strong. It most definately could use paint though and I'vehad that stripe kit bookmarked for so long...you gotta post how it turns out.

 

The car came out great! Got a trophy with it the first time out!

 

I have an 87 442. I love the looks, but hate thelack power from the 307. I need more hp. I would like to replace the heads and intake, or drop a gm crate 350 in there. The car is mostly stock, but it is more important to me that the car is what I would like because it is not trophy machine. Any suggestions?

 

The crate moter is 12499529, a 290 hp turn key.
