Hi guys my name buddy an I'm new to the forum well my problem is I have a 87 delta 88 v6 3.8 liter engine they problem I'm having is every since I change my timing chain my car runs like crap when idle is sound like my car have a cam in it I change a my mass air flow sensor, control module,coilpacks,new injectors etc I took timing cover off timing look fine now I'm starting to pull my hair out can't figure out problem mother left me the the car when she pass away don't want to get rid of car please help I forgot to mention the car has 56,000 mile on it thank you

Do you have any codes? Since you have thrown a bunch of parts at it, maybe try a crank sensor.

Sounds like your timing may be slightly off, since you said the rough idle started after you changed the timing chain. That would cause it. Could be off by as little as one notch.

Yeah very well could be. You gotta think its somewhere in that area of the timing chain. Really make sure its lines up properly, and none of the tabs on the ring on the back harmonic balancer are bent, and wiring for the crank sensor is ok, which can be hard to diagnose without a lab scope, let us know what happens!
