Default Hello from Tulsa OK (with pics)

Hello all! New to the car forums but been on the truck forums for awhile.

A little about me, I'm a former cop and currently working as a diesel mechanic for an ag. tractor dealer.

Why am i here? Good question. To make a long story short in 1976 my grandfather bought my grandmother a new 1977 Olds Cutlass for her birthday. Well here we are 30 some years later and grandpa and grandma are both passed away and my uncle was gonna scrap grandma's car. My son ask to buy the car from grandma's estate and my uncle gave it to him. The old girl needs lots of work and as it has sit for about the last 15 yrs it will likely require a rebuild on the engine and some paint but the car is other wise in great shape.

As I've never got into the car restoration gang and I'm not a big GM fan I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.

Here is a look at the old girl.

FYI this thing has less than 110k miles on it. Man I love old iron like this even if it is a GM.

Welcome to OF! Glad to have you around, nice looking ride also. It seems like you don't have much body work in your future.

Not much body work at all but gonna have to find the rubber/plastic pieces between the rear bumper and the body. Think that's the worst of the body "damage".

It is looking really good and not much of work to do on it except the replacement of internal parts.
