Hello! New member from BFE in Delanson, NY. I''ve owned a few Olds cars in my time, but it''s been a long time. My S/O and I just rescued a 73 Olds Omega from a horse farm. When I say rescued, I mean that quite literally. This poor car had the exhaust held up by the PARKING BRAKE CABLE...permatex everywhere, freezeout plugs from a BOAT, the rocker panels need replacing, ect.. We are fortunate to have lots of help with the rejuvination of this classic. We''ve not seen an Omega in years, and honestly I think most found their way to the junkyard. Amazingly, when we pulled the engine apart, we found it to be in excellent shape and it will not need rebuilding. We will eventually replace the motor and tranny, but will keep all the original parts in storage. Now we are waiting for the gasket sets to come in so we can put her engine back together and get to work on those rocker panels and the exhaust...Wish us luck!
