Hello I just bought a 2003 Olds alero gl1 but its got embossed seats and badges that say "Stingray". Now Ive never heard of an Olds alero "Stingray" nor have I heard of an Olds "Stingray" of any kind. So the question is.... what is this?

 

Use the SPID code decoder (second sticky in the General Tech Help section) to find out what came with your car from the factory. Anything else is either added by a dealer or previous owner.
I'm guessing a previous owner stuck the badges on, and had the stitching done. I have never heard of a "Stingray" either except for the Corvette.
